Module I – Employee awareness session

Duration – 2 hours

Sec 19(c) of the Act (Sexual harassment of Women at the Workplace Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal Act 2013) casts a mandatory obligation on the Employer to conduct awareness sessions on the provisions of the Act for the Employees.

Failure to comply with the provisions of the Act can result in penalties. The training conducted, is interactive with videos and question answer sessions in a fun filled atmosphere which makes learning of this sensitive topic comfortable for both men and women.

Module II – Skill building for the Internal Committee

Duration – 4 hours

Once a complaint is received, certain procedures must be followed in conducting an inquiry.
Failure to follow procedures and principles laid down can have an adverse repercussion on an organization. No organization can afford to be in the limelight for all the wrong reasons.

This training is a technical training wherein the members of the Internal Committee are trained on the principles and sections of the various Acts which they need to be aware of when handling a complaint.

Module III – Senior Management training

The senior management, the leaders, the decision makers of an organization need to be aware of the important provisions of the Act and the duties it casts on the Employers along with repercussions of ignoring / noncompliance of those provisions.

Module IV – Creating a safe work environment – Training for support services.

Duration – 2 hours

Section 19 (a) casts a duty on the Employer to provide a safe working environment which shall include safety from the persons coming into contact at the workplace. The Employer relies on the Facility Management Professional to play an important role in ensuring a safe work environment.

The Act also casts responsibility on the Employer to provide information required by the Internal Committee. What happens if the information available is incorrect/unreliable or outdated? What steps can an organization take to create a safe workplace so that it prevents incidents of sexual harassment happening at the workplace?
